The book follows the maturation and evolution of Kubrick’s relationship towards music. It is a kind of journey through the director’s cinematic oeuvre from a musical perspective which, of course, does not rule out an extremely important visual component of his films. This is also my musical odyssey through Kubrick’s films. Stanley Kubrick taught me to think differently about film music and I have approached all his film with great respect and admiration.
